As we face the winding down of yet another tumultuous year, this which is described as the year of “the open door”, we must seek a relevant mindset to be able to navigate our way forward.

This goes for us as a church as well as in our private lives. For if we do not live by revelation, we will stumble, lose momentum and will lose opportunities that God gives us to increase and to fulfil our purpose on the earth.

In the Book of Zechariah, this priestly prophet, was given a vision of ‘four horns’, that which symbolized forces that had scattered the nation of Israel (Judah and Jerusalem), but this was not the end of the vision.

“Then the Lord showed me four carpenters...these are come to terrify them, and throw down these horns of the nations who lifted up their horns against Judah to scatter it.” Zech. 1:20-21

The four carpenters represented skilled workmen, artisans, builders, that were released to counteract and destroy the

destructive forces, that had broken down the city walls and left the nation defenseless. The Church is constantly on a collision course with the diabolic forces of Satan, that wants her annihilation, and if we do not understand the revealed will of God, then our hearts will race with panic and dread. But let us be very sure, Christ “is building His Church, and the gates of Hell, shall not prevail against it!”
